This book is the oral autobiography of Yuan Longping, a famous Chinese agricultural scientist widely known as the Father of Hybrid Rice. By recalling the little-known facts including Yuan’s family background, education experience, and scientific research experience, the book veritably reflects the development of Chinese society in the last hundred years, especially the hybrid rice.
